Herman “Wall” Glenn has been a member of the SAL for over 4 years. He gained eligibility through his father, Clifford Glenn, who served in the Army during WWII.  Clifford’s career did not end there, he went on to serve in the Marines and Coast Guard, receiving honorable discharges from both.  Herman is semi-retired, which allows him to be more active with his immediate family as well as his Legion Family.  He is the Commander of Post 8’s Sons of the American Legion as well as the Assistant Director of Post 8’s American Legion Riders Chapter.  Herman has also been appointed to the TDY Committee for Post 8.

Cathy “P.I.T.A.” Smithmeyer is a US Navy Veteran and has been a member of the American Legion for over 4 years.  She served in the Navy for 4 years, stationed at Commander Submarine Group Two in Groton, Connecticut.  Cathy serves District 7’s Adjutant, Post 8’s America Legion Adjutant as well as Post 8’s American Legion Riders Chapter Adjutant.

Linda “Lynn” Malin is a member of the Auxiliary, gaining eligibility under her husband, Eugene “Gino”.   She serves as the Finance Officer for Post 8’s American Legion Riders Chapter.  Lynn went to college when her children were all in school full-time, receiving her degree in Business with a double major in Accounting, graduating with a 4.0.  She feels it was important to set an example for her children.  Lynn, who has been in Senior management as a Chief Financial Officer for the last 47 years for two different companies brings a wealth of knowledge to the ALR Finance Officer position.

Mark “Skid Mark” Smithmeyer is a retired firefighter/paramedic from Hamburg, NY and has been a member of the Sons of the American Legion for over 3 years.  He gained his eligibility though his father, Paul, an Army Veteran.  Mark serves as the 2nd vice Commander for Post 8’s Sons of the American Legion as well as the Road Captain for Post 8’s Legion Riders Chapter.  He was previously the Assistant Road Captain for Post 8’s ALR.

GG has been a member of the Sons of the American for several years.  He gained his eligibility through his father’s service during WWII.  His father went all the way across Central Europe to the Ardennes.  GG was not a member of the American Legion nor the American Legion Riders when he was out on a solo ride and just happened to stop by the Lakeland Harley Davidson dealer.  There was a Poker Run going on and GG recognized someone he knew so he joined the ride.  His friend who was riding asked me if he would be interested in starting a Riders Chapter at the Mulberry American Legion and he said yes.  GG joined the Sons of the American Legion and became a Charter Member of the Mulberry American Legion Riders.  He has been Assistant Sergeant-at-Arms and Assistant Road Captain.  GG is the Assistant Road Captain for Post 8’s American Legion Riders Chapter.

Robbin Rogers has been a member of the American Legion Auxiliary for over 8 years, joining in August of 2015 at Post 246 in Athens, Pa.  She transferred to Post 8 during the summer of 2021. Robbin gained eligibility through her father, Robert Walker, who served in the Army during the Korean War. She was elected as an Executive Committee member in 2022-2023 and now serves as Unit 8’s Chaplain.  Robbin also serves as Post 8’s American Legion Riders Chapter Membership Chairman.
She enjoys volunteering with the Auxiliary as well as any of the other entities at Post 8 that may need her help.
